International Children's Day
International Children's Day began with a question among friends: what would it look like to celebrate children in a way that is joyful, but not apolitical? Too often, children's celebrations ignore the harsh realities many young people face — from displacement and violence to inequality and occupation. We wanted something different, built on the belief that all children everywhere deserve the same safety, dignity, and freedom to flourish.
I led all of the visual design for the event — posters, stickers, handouts, and printed materials given to every family upon arrival, as well as two large illustrated banners that anchored the space. The visual language centered bold color and affirming imagery to create an environment that was celebratory yet intentional. It was a beautiful space where the message was that joy and justice can coexist.
